You can get basic dental care from any dental office. You will probably receive the fundamental services you need, but you may have a lackluster or even disappointing experience. However, we always go the extra mile at Millennium Dental to bring our patients not only the dental care they need but also the comfort and excellent experience they deserve.

This commitment means we offer more to you and your family. Whether in the form of the latest technology, extra efforts to keep you healthy, or ways to make your dental care more convenient and affordable, we are always happy to provide bonuses to our patients as well as outstanding service. Below are just 5 of the extra things we do at Millennium Dental that can be difficult to find at other dental offices.

5 Ways We Differ from Other Dental Offices

1. Help with Relaxation

One of the things we do differently is that we understand that people do not traditionally associate dental treatments with fun and relaxation, but we always do our best to change that perception. Our entire staff works to ensure that you are at ease, and we are always gentle during every examination and treatment. Your comfort is not simply an afterthought for us. It is our highest priority.

We have made sure that our office is as relaxing as possible. For instance, you can watch a ceiling-mounted TV during your visit or listen to the music of your choice. Also, we provide nitrous oxide, better known as laughing gas, to help you unwind and feel calm.

If you have intense anxiety surrounding dental care, we have other sedation options available. Simply contact us, and we will be happy to address your situation.

2. Digital X-rays

X-rays or radiographs are a safe and noninvasive method of checking your mouth and diagnosing problems. However, over time, repeated exposure to X-rays carries a slight risk to your health. This is one reason why we use digital radiography at Millennium Dental. Our digital X-rays use much less radiation than conventional X-ray systems–up to 90% less!

Additionally, digital X-rays provide our dentists with a clearer, more accurate picture of your oral health when compared to traditional imaging. Digital radiography permits us to view more of your mouth’s structure, highlight, and even zoom in on areas of interest. It’s no wonder that digital radiography is becoming the new standard of care in dentistry.

3. More Options for Teeth Whitening

Whiter teeth are an almost universal desire. When your teeth are bright, you look younger, healthier, and more vibrant. You are also more apt to smile and appear friendlier and more confident when you know you have a beautiful set of teeth.

At many dental offices, you only have a single choice for teeth whitening, which may not fit your needs. You’re confined to either long treatments in the office or given a whitening tray to take home and left on your own. We are different at Millennium Dental, where we’re all about choices.

You can decide on your approach to teeth whitening with us. We provide in-office whitening with the Zoom! system, which takes under two hours. You can also choose take-home trays to whiten in the privacy and comfort of your own home. Of course, whichever system you choose, Dr. Harrison will be happy to provide you with tips and professional guidance.

Don’t forget that we also offer porcelain veneers. This cosmetic treatment can give even badly stained teeth a new, bright appearance as well as address other aesthetic issues.

4. Comprehensive Oral Cancer Screenings

Many dentists only conduct cursory visual checks for oral cancer in their patients. This is not the case with Dr. Harrison. She knows that oral cancer responds best to treatment when detected early, so she goes beyond a simple visual examination.

We use the Identifi screening system at Millennium Dental. This tool emits light at several different wavelengths to scan for cellular changes that can indicate cancer. Identifi can be used to screen the tissues of your mouth, tongue, throat, and tonsils for a truly comprehensive oral cancer screening. This service is just another way we demonstrate our commitment to our patients’ health and wellbeing.

5. More Payment Options

Everyone should be able to afford good dental care. To that end of things we do differently, we offer you multiple options to make paying for your treatment easy and convenient. These options include cash, personal checks, and the top four credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

We also accept CareCredit, a low-interest payment service that many patients find helpful. Unlike most dental insurance plans, CareCredit will cover cosmetic procedures so that you and your family can have the smile of your dreams.
